Senior Accounts Manager

The Role

We are currently recruiting for the exciting opportunity of Senior Accounts Manager to join our fast-paced Accounts team in our growing business. We are looking or an experienced Financial/Management Accountant who can take ownership of a small team, ensuring month-end reporting and distribution as well as monitoring financial data and preparing financial and KPI reports. The role will also support with the development of finance processes and will be responsible for supporting our national branch network including providing training and support to ensure an understanding of financial information including performance, cost saving and budgets.

Role Responsibility

  • Management and development of a successful accounts team
  • Translation of financial data to operational team members
  • Develop new reporting in excel, dashboards & financial summaries
  • Ensure all KPI’s & month-end reporting deadlines are met
  • Visiting and supporting the key stakeholders around the country with management financial information and understanding
  • Produce year end data in full support of statutory requirements & deadlines
  • Build/design new reporting techniques in excel, in line with operational requirements
  • To suggest ways to develop finance processes to ensure controls are robust & in line with requirements of the business
  • Perform internal audits of our systems where necessary, monitoring & reporting on any financial discrepancies
  • Ad-hoc analysis of financial trends
  • Supporting the Financial Controller

Who You Are

You will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, AAT, CIMA or qualified by experience) who has previous experience of managing and building a successful team. As well we this, you will have excellent time management and organisation skills to ensure a statistical approach to problem solving and deadlines. You will have a strong attention to detail and will be experienced working in a finance/process driven environment. You will also have excellent communication skills and be able to build strong working relationships, offering help on cost reduction strategies, budgeting processes & financial opportunities as well as delivering ‘non-finance friendly’ presentations. You will be strong and driven to evaluate results and communicate opinions and suggestions effectively. You must be a driven individual who can work autonomously & be able to demonstrate effective leadership skills. You must be a professional character who can work well with Senior Executives as well as key end users of financial information.

You will be technically skilled in advanced excel and have a strong knowledge of accounts regulation. You will also be happy to travel regularly across England & Wales

Salary Details

£Up to £40,000 plus car allowance
